The other day while driving into work, I was heading east into downtown Indianapolis with the sun pouring onto my windshield. The sun flares created a beautiful halo around the city. The morning presented in a lovely sun-filled way compared to the past weekend of third winter. It made me excited to be “back home again in Indiana”. Had I not been listening to the unparalleled Tony Katz on WIBC, I surely would have been jamming to some tunes.

When it comes to music and Indiana a few things come to mind quickly. Jim Nabors singing “Back Home Again In Indiana” for 42 years before the start of the Indy 500 and of course, John Mellencamp.  Let’s review some more songs that mention Indiana or Indianapolis…
