INDIANAPOLIS – Latrell Williams was charged Monday by the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office for his alleged role in the February 26 double shooting at the Jewish Community Center (JCC) on the northside of Indianapolis.

According to police, Williams was involved in an argument during a basketball game before he pulled out a gun from his backpack and opened fire. He shot two males, who were taken to the hospital in stable condition, as they attempted to flee. After the shooting, Williams ran away on foot.

Detectives were able to identify him through his sign-in information and security footage at the JCC. Williams has been charged with attempted murder, battery by means of a deadly weapon, criminal recklessness, and possession of a firearm on school property.
