GRANT COUNTY, Ind. — An Elwood man died Tuesday morning in Grant County after his truck rear-ended a garbage truck.
Indiana State Police say 22-year-old Corey Carter was headed south on Strawtown Pike just before 7 a.m. when his Chevrolet Avalanche crashed into the back of a stopped Mack garbage truck.
Carter died before he could be taken to the hospital.
ISP said they did not know why Carter crashed into the garbage truck.
The driver of the garbage truck, 51-year-old Trina Walker, was not hurt.
The lights on Walker’s garbage truck were activated at the time of the crash, according to Indiana State Police.
