New Castle Man Dies in Crash Involving Ambulance

HENRY COUNTY, Ind. — An elderly man from New Castle died early Monday morning in a crash involving an ambulance, according to Indiana State Police.
81-year-old Robert Snedigar was headed north on Greensboro Pike when he pulled out onto State Road 38 into the path of an oncoming New Castle EMS ambulance. The ambulance hit Snedigar’s car on the driver’s side.
Snedigar died of his injuries.
The driver of the ambulance and a passenger were not hurt. The ambulance was not on an emergency run and there were no patients on board.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
