Well…we can’t watch the activities in person at the “Brickyard” this weekend, but there’s still plenty to do as we celebrate Independence Day in Indy!  Decorate your bicycle and be in a parade!  Checkout fireworks displays in the surrounding counties, or relax with live Jazz at the Zoo.  HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMERICA!

A sight to see! The Exchange Clubs of Hancock County & Lawrence, joined together to post 500 U.S. Flags in a tribute honoring our military, veterans and first responders. This year they’re also honoring those on the front lines battling COVID-19.  Goes through July 5th.

Ice cream & good old fashion patriotic fun. “From the Front Porch Presentations” every 30 minutes. The “Firecracker Run” will conduct this year’s race from the Presidential Site grounds.

 

SPEEDWAY BICYCLE PARADE ON MAIN

11am|Community Health Pavilion in Speedway

Celebrating Independence Day and NASCAR’s visit at IMS! Decorate your bikes showing your patriotic pride for prizes! Kids 0 to 100 years old are welcome. Parade begins at 12:15. Ends at Fundae’s Ice Cream and Sweets. ENTER HERE!

 

FOURTH OF JULY TAILGATING PARTY

11am|Metazoa Brewing Co.

Pack up your truck and join Metazoa for yard games, tasty BBQ, ice cream and craft beer! Lawn chairs and dogs are welcome. Must be 21 to enter. Goes until 11pm.

 

FREEDOM MUSIC FESTIVAL FUNDRAISER

12pm|Shepard Music Studio

A celebration of our nation’s freedom with live music, food, beer, raffle prizes and more! All proceeds go to help local musicians and small businesses effected by the pandemic. $10.

 

ANIMALS AND ALL THAT JAZZ
