Governors and mayors across the country were quick to condemn protests related to businesses being shut down or jobs eliminated because of Coronavirus mandates. Many claimed those attending should be ashamed of themselves for potentially spreading the virus. However, these same elected officials have supported protests related to the death of George Floyd. It is unequal treatment by the government and should concern citizens regardless of race or political opinion.
