Fishers Is Turning Into An HOA

Fishers Is Turning Into An HOA. Should municipalities be regulating what homeowners can do with their property? Or is what Fishers is doing protecting its community?
So, Fishers voting last night. So, in any one subdivision. 10 per 100 homes, 10%. Um. I get the other side of this. My neighbor rented on a Tuesday. I decided to rent on a Friday. I don’t get to rent. You snooze; you lose. Does not seem to be a way to run a government. But as I said, there’s a real rock, hard place issue here. That what’s happening in terms of values and what’s happening in terms of safety it’s having a real effect on the city as a whole? What are they supposed to do? If someone tells me I can’t sell my house to one of these groups that does the home buying, I’ll say to you where do you get off telling me what I can and can’t do with my own property? Again, the subject. I could sell to whomever I want to sell to. If you tell me there’s a certain group of people I’m not allowed to sell to, you’re telling that a different group of people that they have an advantage, they can offer less. Well, you can’t sell it to them, you can only sell it to me. This is different. This is about renting. This is about the use of the dwelling. Which kind of basically turns Fishers into an HOA, right? Because I do believe that HOA’s can make these calls and then when you buy a house within an HOA, you know what the rules are. And then the, the follow up is you. You can move. I know the easier said than done. I get you. But it’s a thing. I’m curious as to the argument on the other side
