INDIANAPOLIS — Indy Metro Police are looking for the person who robbed a Dairy Queen on Indy’s east side.

The robbery happened on Monday, Nov. 4 at around 2:45 p.m. at the Dairy Queen at 6245 E. Washington Street, according to IMPD.

The suspect walked into the restaurant, asked to use the restroom, and then walked up to the counter and pulled a “small machine-gun type weapon” out of a black backpack, IMPD said.

After getting money from the register, the suspect forced employees inside the walk-in freezer and ran off.
