18-Year-Old Arrested After Police Chase in Bloomington

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — State Police arrested an 18-year-old after a chase in Bloomington Saturday evening.

Officers say Kyle J. Sims was going over 100 miles an hour on I-69 Northbound, which is near the 122-mile marker, and that’s when officers started chasing him and tried pulling him over.

Police say Sims refused to stop, turned off his lights, and ran off even faster. They say Sims finally came to a stop after leaving the highway at the Sample Road ramp.

There were two passengers in Sims’ car as well.

Sims was taken to Monroe County Jail, and he faces the following charges:
