Fatal Crash Reported on Indy’s Southwest Side

INDIANAPOLIS–A fatal crash occurred early Monday morning on the southwest side of Indianapolis.

Investigators say the driver died and it happened in the 4700 block of West Morris Street, which is just west of Interstate 70 and a few blocks east of South Lynhurst Drive.

The incident took place at D Transport Inc., a trucking company, where a vehicle collided with a parked dump truck before veering off the lot and down an embankment.

The police got to the scene after hearing about the collision. They believe it’s likely that the driver may have experienced a medical emergency prior to the crash. The cause of death will be determined by the Marion County Coroner’s Office.
