Person Dies in Hit-and-Run Crash in Downtown Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS–A hit-and-run crash killed a person in downtown Indianapolis Tuesday morning.
IMPD says it happened just before 8 am in the area of West Michigan Street and North Illinois Street. Officers are searching for the driver who hit the person. That individual was pronounced dead at the scene.
The IMPD fatal crash team is investigating the incident. They say they are speaking with several cooperating witnesses.
