Child Dies in Stabbing on East Side Near Arsenal Tech, Person of Interest Detained

UPDATE: Police say they have detained a person of interest, but the investigation is still ongoing.
INDIANAPOLIS — Police found a girl fatally stabbed Monday morning on the city’s east side near Arsenal Tech High School.
The stabbing occurred around 9:15 a.m. in the 400 block of North Randolph Street, between East Michigan and East New York streets, just south of the high school.
Officers arrived to find the woman with stab wounds, and she was pronounced dead at the scene.
