Snow on Thursday

INDIANAPOLIS — A weak system will bring snow to northern Central Indiana later today. Unlike Wednesday’s storm, this snow will stick as temperatures dip into the teens. Expect up to an inch of snow through the evening.

“It’s just going to be a steady light snow,” says Mike Ryan at the National Weather Service. “Because of the temperatures we’re expecting, there will be some impact on the roadways.”

The heaviest snow will fall south of I-70 and north of Kokomo, Muncie, and Lafayette.

“There will be impacts to travelers out there,” Ryan added.

The frigid temperatures will leave by Friday afternoon, with highs around 30. The weekend will bring much warmer weather, reaching the mid-40s on Saturday. Showers will move in Saturday night and last into Sunday, with temperatures around 50.
