Fort Wayne Cops Shot And Killed Burglar Friday Morning

FORT WAYNE, Ind. — A police officer shot and killed a burglar in Fort Wayne early this morning.

The cops were called about a burglary at a home along Wells Street, right in the downtown area just north of the St. Mary’s River. When the cops got to the home they heard screaming from inside and made their way inside.

That’s when police say one of the officers shot the person who had broken into the home. The officers immediately started first aid but by the time EMTs arrived, the intruder was dead.

No officers were hurt.

Police are looking into what led to the shooting.
