Trump pulling out of UNESCO again

Trump pulling out of UNESCO again. No one is really going to notice the difference because the United States has actually quit UNESCO before it split under the Trump administration.
I was very happy to see President Trump say we’re pulling out of UNESCO. I’ve made the argument before that while the United Nations was a unique effort, maybe it’s time has come if all we’re going to do is support despots, and the worst of the worst doesn’t seem like a valuable proposition for the United States to be involved in, especially considering the money that we spend. So, I was happy to see President Trump say we’re pulling out of UNESCO. But what is it? What does it mean and what does it mean for the future? Eugene Kontorovich joins me right now, senior research fellow at the Margaret Thatcher Center for Freedom at the Heritage Foundation, heritage.org. And you’ve written about this. You were actually in the Wall Street Journal just a couple of months ago making this argument, utilizing a lot of the same thoughts as what you’re seeing now from the president, especially after they did this research into UNESCO and what they do. Let’s start with what UNESCO does and how it has morphed over the years.
