Fatal Crash on I-69 in Delaware County Forces Lengthy Closure

YORKTOWN, Ind. — A fatal crash on Interstate 69 southbound near Yorktown Friday morning forced the interstate to close for several hours.
The highway was closed from exit 241 to exit 234. The left lane of I-69 northbound also had closed because of the accident.
The Yorktown Fire Department said one person was killed in that crash. No other details about the cause of the crash have been released yet and it’s unclear if anyone else was injured.
The Delaware County Sheriff’s Office said all lanes reopened at around 7:21 a.m.
