PLAINFIELD, Ind. (WISH) — More than 400 employees are expected to be laid off when a Plainfield logistics facility shuts down in July.
A filing with the state Department of Workforce Development states that Ryder Integrated Logistics in Plainfield will close its Whirlpool distribution center in July and lay off 436 workers.
The Indianapolis Business Journal reports Neovia Logistics Services LLC, which is taking over the service contract at the Ryder distribution facility, is “expected to hire most of those employees.”
