If Joe Hogsett doesn’t resign, why won’t his staff? Hogsett’s staff probably would call themselves feminists, yet they continue to work for this man. Why?
Hogsett won’t resign. Joe Hogsett also won’t answer questions. I am convinced by the way… I would love to hear Democrats in Indiana talk about the party loyalty that exists. What is that the 25th floor? Wherever they are over there. No one in his office has said this is gross. You protected a guy who was clearly engaged in sexual impropriety. You clearly did the absolute minimum. You quasi covered it up. No one. Not a single person in Joe Hogsett’s office has any character at all. No, they don’t feel compelled to say, “I can’t be around this.” How many of them consider themselves feminists? Show of hands. Show of hands in Joe Hogsett’s office. How many of you say that you’re feminist to your friends and then showed up to work this morning? You know you’re listening as you’re heading in. Hey, Tony Katz, 93, WIBC. What’s going on? How you doing, Boo? Having a good day. Sorry, didn’t mean to go dancing all over your conscience there, but I was curious. As I woke up a little bit early this morning, couldn’t get back to bed, and I said, I wonder if the people are working Joe Hogsett’s office ever ask themselves, “my God, what am I doing for a paycheck? Just curious why I’m supporting a guy who clearly supported somebody involved in sexual impropriety?” Clearly. Wasn’t around when the city was hit by riots. Shows up publicly and looks like he’s having a problem. I’m sorry that video from him this summer. It goes a long way to making people ask questions of what’s wrong with this guy. Is there ever a moment where you’re like, maybe there’s another job out there for me? But no, no, not you. Not you, because the party, before anything, because Republicans bad or some other nonsense. It’s Indianapolis. You’re gonna vote for another Democrat. You really gotta support this one. He’s not going to resign because we have a second member of the city County Council. The first one was the commie pinko. But I don’t listen to anything from a guy who also, in my view, supports Hamas. So, you can move that aside. He wears Kofia, case rested. Now you have Andy Nielsen, Democrat from the east side saying the way Hogsett dealt with Thomas Carl Cook, his chief of staff, a low guy, a creepy guy, we said so for years based on how we treated us. All we wanted was an interview. “Hogsett demonstrated a profound lack of judgment and disregard for fundamental ethics. Mayor Joe Hogsett must resign.”
That’s in the letter from Councilor Andy Nielsen. He’s not going to resign. Of course he’s not going to resign. The man has no shame. But his staff. No one on his staff, not one person has said I can’t be a part of this anymore. Gosh, that’s. You wanna talk about party loyalty? You wanna talk about taking one for the team? Thomas Carl Cook thought everyone should take one for the team. But taking one for the team? Good gosh. Well, enjoy your workday and best of luck trying to get to sleep tonight and maybe we’ll talk about it again tomorrow as you’re driving into work, listening to this show, asking yourself why you do this job. With Joe Hogsett, dude? Yeah.
