HUNTINGBURG, Ind.–It is now more clear what happened when a 52-year-old woman and a four-year-old girl were found dead in a house on North Geiger St, in Huntingburg, Monday.
Huntingburg Police say Olivia Regalada, the woman, died from a medical emergency due to a pre-existing condition.
The girl, Evelynn Lopez, was left alone and was attacked by dogs. They are still not sure why.
The seven dogs that were in the house were sedated and then killed for safety and to preserve evidence. Their bodies are now being tested at the Southern Indiana Purdue Agriculture Center.
