Tony Katz:

Now is not the time to get squeamish. It’s interesting that people talk about what we have to do something, and then when the moment comes to do something, they’re like, “Well, I mean… this is actually the story of conservatives before Donald Trump. This whole class of “Let’s take a cruise together folk” who told you that they were real conservatism. And they were going to fight for you. And they were thinking smart policy. And they were disagreeing with these silly, silly leftists. But they would lose time and time, and time again. And if they did win, they didn’t actually do anything, now, did they? Jon Gabriel joins me. Alright, and now the undisputed king of stuff, a contributor over at Discourse magazine, discoursemagazine.com, and the author of Sink the Rising Sun, his first but not his last novel, which you can find at Amazon.com. Your piece over at Discourse is called “Waiting For the Chainsaw” where you are making the argument that this is what you all said is what you wanted. to do away with the waste, fraud and abuse. You said you wanted to reduce the spending. In DC, well, here’s DOGE. Here’s Elon Musk. Here’s the chainsaw, here’s Trump. The opportunity is here.

Dear Lord, what are you people waiting for? So, let’s start with what it is you’re seeing as the potential problem.

Jon Gabriel:

Yeah. Well, it, it is crazy how much these people just want to be liked, especially people based in Manhattan or the Beltway. They just want to be liked.

And whatever conservative does something even slightly conservative, they’re like, “yeah, well, I call myself a conservative, but I’m not in that set. I’m not one of those trying to feed those kind of conservatives and DOGE.”
