After telling taxpayers reserves could not be touched in 2017, and enacting a massive tax increase to pay for road funding, Governor Eric Holcomb has now reversed course. In his State of the State, he proposed using hundreds of millions of dollars from the reserves for teacher pay. Rob Kendall says he’s sticking it to taxpayers for the benefit of a select few and sending a terrible message. Abdul-Hakim Shabazz disagrees.
