EUGENE, OR.–Not only was Indiana Hoosier Men’s Basketball Coach Mike Woodson upset about his team’s loss to Oregon on Tuesday night, he was also upset with the officiating.

Indiana was whistled for 12 fouls in the second half while Oregon was called for only five second half fouls.  Oregon shot 21 free throws, though, and Indiana had seven for the whole game.

“In a physical game like this, it can’t be 21 to 7. You gotta be kidding me. They’re a physical team. It can’t be that lopsided,” said Woodson to the media after his team’s 73-64 loss.

Woodson said both teams were battling and his team paid more of the price.

“You can’t punish one team and put one team at the line 21 times and the only team only gets there seven times? That’s awful,” said Woodson.

Indiana led 64-63 with less than two minutes remaining in the game, but Oregon scored 10 straight points to win.

Indiana is considered a bubble team, meaning they are not guaranteed a spot in the NCAA Tournament. They close out the regular season on Saturday against Ohio State at 3:45 pm.

You can hear the reaction from Woodson below. Beware that some of the language is graphic.
