INDIANAPOLIS –United Auto Workers leaders say Rolls-Royce workers in Indianapolis won’t strike after securing a new contract just before the deadline.

UAW President Shawn Fain announced Wednesday night at Local 933’s hall, calling it a “historic agreement” that delivers wage hikes, stronger profit sharing, cost-of-living adjustments, and more vacation time.

“This deal proves what happens when workers stand together,” Fain said. “We’ve seen massive gains at Allison Transmission, Daimler Trucks, Cornell University, and now here at Rolls-Royce—all because our members were ready to fight for what they deserve.”

Under the agreement, production workers will earn at least $46.37 an hour by the final year of the contract, while skilled trades will top $50. The lowest-paid workers will see a raise of up to 68%.

Profit sharing will now be tied directly to company earnings, making payouts more transparent. Retirement benefits will increase, and the company’s 401(k) match will rise from 5% to 7%.

“This only happens when the company looks over the shoulder of our bargaining team and sees an army of fired-up members ready to strike if needed,” Fain said. “That’s exactly what happened here, and it’s why we won.”

“I’m so proud of my UAW family,” Fain added. “And I’m honored to be back home in Indiana, celebrating this massive victory with Local 933.”
