ZIONSVILLE, Ind. — Having been out of the IndyCar ranks for over a year, Devlin DeFrancesco will return to the paddock for the 2025 season with Rahal-Letterman-Lanigan Racing.

The Canadian driver has signed on with RLL to drive the No. 30-car. on a multi-year deal with the deal with the team.

“I’m very excited to be back in the IndyCar Series,” said DeFrancesco. “Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing has an amazing history and is also on an impressive trajectory. Seeing all the work that is going on from the men and women behind the scenes, it is easy to see that this team and myself are very hungry for results. I look forward to getting started with all the great people here.”

DeFrancesco comes to RLL after having previously been with Andretti Steinbrenner Autosport for his first two seasons in 2022 and 2023. Andretti Steinbrenner is a former off-shoot of Andretti Global.

He finished 23rd and 22nd in the points during those years. His best-ever finish was 12th at Detroit in 2023 and also finished 13th in the Indianapolis 500 that same year.

Since having not found a ride for the 2024 season in IndyCar, DeFrancesco has been racing sportscars in the IMSA WeatherTech Sportscar Series with DragonSpeed, Rick Ware Racing, and Forte Racing.

“I’m very pleased that we are able to welcome Devlin to the team,” said Bobby Rahal, co-owner of Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing. “We had the chance to witness his ability while he was at Andretti and there were clearly times when he was quite competitive so I’m confident that we can have a lot of good races together. We’re looking forward to his contribution to the team.”

DeFrancesco is also bringing a significant budget to the team for his ride and completes the RLL driving roster for the 2025 season.

He joins an RLL stable alongside Graham Rahal (15) and rookie Louis Foster (45).
