Multiple People Shot Across Indianapolis in Several Hours

INDIANAPOLIS — Indianapolis Metropolitan Police are investigating several shootings that happened on Monday night across the city. At least five people were shot, including a teenager on the city’s northeast side.
Police say the violence began around 6 p.m. when a man was shot and killed at a Phillips 66 gas station in the 8700 block of East Washington Street. The Marion County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as 35-year-old Anthony Rome Harlin Jr.
Around 7:40 p.m., a teenager was shot on the northeast side of the city. Shortly after, police found another person who had been shot at Community North Hospital around 7:41 p.m.
“Our detectives continue to work tirelessly on this and work through every piece of evidence, working to secure any surveillance footage, utilizing different investigatory techniques,” said Public Information Officer Tommy Thompson of the Indy Metro Police. “We want people to not resort to firearms as a means to conflict resolution.”
