The verdict follows a six-day jury trial, marking Garrett’s second trial after a mistrial earlier this year when he struck his attorney in court.

Delance Hatcher and Rashaana Farrow were already sentenced. Hatcher received 65 years, and Farrow 30 years.

“I commend law enforcement and our trial team for their meticulous work in presenting a compelling case to the jury on behalf of the victims,” Prosecutor Mears said. “More than five years after these tragedies, we are proud to have secured justice for Devon Gillespie, Anthony Mack, and the other victims whose lives have been affected by the senseless actions of the defendants.”

Cell phone records were used as evidence of Garrett, Hatcher, and Farrow committing their crimes.

Garrett and Farrow were arrested in Fishers, Indiana, on November 12th, 2019. They were found with guns by police.
