INDIANAPOLIS–Police in Indianapolis responded to several shootings across the city on Wednesday.

At around 9:15 am, they were told about a shooting on East Washington Street in between Belmont and Tibbs Avenue. A man was found with gunshot wounds and taken to a hospital in serious condition. Detectives now think this incident stemmed from a robbery where a vehicle was taken from the victim. The stolen vehicle was found a short time later.

A shooting was also reported at around 1 pm on South Gray Street, which is near East Washington and South Rural Streets. The person who had been shot was pronounced dead at the scene.

A person was also found shot at 720 Eskenazi Avenue on the west side. That person is in stable condition. IMPD is investigating that as an accidental shooting.
