INDIANAPOLIS – If you think the Indianapolis Colts are the best football team, you are…not in the majority. In fact, the team has been named the world’s most unpopular NFL team.
A study from FlashPicks indicates that people around the world search Google for the Colts less than any other team, with about 40,000 total monthly searches outside of the U.S.
And, if you are hoping that the countries analyzed in this study are small and remote, you may be disappointed to know that nations like the United Kingdom, Australia, France, and Spain do not seem to care much for the Colts.
The Colts join the Houston Texans, the Washington Commanders, the Los Angeles Chargers, and the Jacksonville Jaguars at the bottom of the list.
Perhaps surprisingly, this study shows that the Buffalo Bills are actually the most popular NFL team, followed by the Dallas Cowboys and the Kansas City Chiefs.
Callum Broxton, Head of Operations at FlashPicks, says, “Our study shows how some NFL teams…have work to do to improve their global brand and attract fans around the world.”
