Three weeks ago, Hayleigh Colombo and James Briggs over at the Indy Star wrote the story about the accusations of sexual impropriety by Thomas Carl Cook, former chief of staff and deputy mayor of Joe Hogsett, the mayor of Indianapolis.

Political pressure is only coming to bear because of the fine reporting at IndyStar and Mirror Indy. But nothing will change unless other reporters like Russ McQuaid at Fox 59 ask the mayor directly what his role was for allowing Cook’s behavior to continue in the workplace:

One can conclude that the mayor (below) was aware of Cook’s behavior and the environment he created around himself and those who worked with him.

WIBC has been on the forefront of this story in Indianapolis Broadcast Media. There need to be more reporters like McQuaid asking the mayor “What did he know and when did he know it?” and why did he hire Cook back to his campaign in 2023 after these complaints were well known by the mayor?
