Craig Collins in for Tony Katz

Tony Katz:

So I am about two blocks right now from the Capitol guys and going to be walking over for first catching the protesters. There were mass arrests yesterday. People I spoke to saw at least 50 people in zip ties getting processed, getting arrested, supporting a mosque in the capital. Some people called it an insurrection. I wasn’t one of those people.

But I’ll be heading over there now because the fences are going up for this speech from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel.

They’re going up all around the capital. And in about two hours, it’s going to be a weird level of lockdown going on.

I’ll tell you this. Security is through the roof in my hotel alone. The amount of police officers from New York who are here for security for this. I’ve counted close to 50 NYPD officers who are here for security for this. I think with the assassination attempt on Trump and series of other things, this is higher than I’ve seen it before… The protesters are out in in full force screaming… proclaiming Israel is somehow guilty of genocide and appeasing terrorists. It’s the ugly on display and Kamala Harris should be forced to answer for it, which I’m very curious if anybody in Indianapolis today where, of course, Kamala Harris is speaking to the sorority gathering.

I’m curious if any reporter from Indy will even ask that question.

Craig Collins:

Fair enough. So, I think it is interesting that Benjamin Netanyahu will be speaking in front of Congress. Also taking private meetings with Trump, with President Biden and with the vice president. The least important of those conversations seems to be with our current president of the United States. I know how you want to react to that.

Tony Katz:

No, there’s, I don’t think that’s in doubt, but I think the keyword and the one we all have to focus on is the very idea of “private”. The reason Kamala Harris isn’t here is because she cannot show her partisan base of the radicals that make up the college campus, whether it be those who are protesting in IU or what we saw in in much greater scope, Colombia and other places.

She can’t show them as being somebody who’s willing to sit down with Netanyahu. This is her engaging pure politics. And for those people paying attention, this is somebody who wants to be the leader of the free world who won’t meet with other leaders. This is a nation that was attacked. This is a nation that’s been under attack since 1948. And she doesn’t think it necessary to meet with them. Better to be at a sorority event. I don’t mind going to sorority events. I’m a huge fan myself. But to not attend this. She’s the president of the Senate of the vice president of the United States. Never mind this anointed nonsense candidacy thing that we’ll get into guys, when I get back. But to not be here is the story.

Craig Collins:

Let’s get back to a Netanyahu. I know that his goal, or at least I’ve seen that part of his goal will be to look for United States support beyond the fight between Israel and Hamas. There are other Iran backed groups that are threatening Israel right now. At the same token, the left, whether it’s Biden or Kamala or whoever is going to tell him that he needs to stand down for some sort of ceasefire. I see those opposing. Uh, you know, uh, things clashing in a way that’s profoundly dangerous to Israel, no matter how unpopular Netanyahu is there. I think that his mission to get more support at a time of, of very, you know, fragile existence for Israel is utterly important. And it’ll probably be secondary to any of these other conversations.

Tony Katz:

So, I think you’re going to hear two things, guys, out of the Netanyahu speech #1, thanking the United States for their support, for their friendship, for their love over the years, the discussion of the unbreakable bond. I think you’re going to hear that very, very clearly. And then #2 Netanyahu is going to link October 7th to September 11th to America’s future, into Israel’s future and the future of the free world against radicals. And barbarism and terrorism, that we are inextricably linked together in this fight. It is US versus them, and we have to be the ones who prevail. I think he’s going to engage a tremendous amount of clarity on that. And for those members of the Squad and other Democrats who are too cowardly to listen to somebody, they, they, they should not count the conversation. They should be aggressive on November 5th and voting and discounting these people. I only hope Cori Bush loses her primary which comes up in in August there in in Missouri there is a lot to it.
