Will the Colts Find an Explosive WR To Pair With Michael Pittman Jr. in the Draft?
Indianapolis – While speaking to the media at the NFL Combine, Colts GM Chris Ballard made it clear. The Colts need more playmakers outside of Jonathan Taylor, Michael Pittman Jr., and Nyheim Hines. With the NFL Combine taking place in Indianapolis for perhaps the final time, the WR group is making some major noise with their speed in the 40 yard dash.
WOW. JUST WOW.@BUFootball WR Tyquan Thornton might’ve just broken the all-time 40 record with a 4.21u.

#Colts are in the perfect spot to get one of these freak wideouts who slips out of Round 1.

What’s shaping up to be the official fastest WR group ever at the Combine is (not) coincidentally the lightest group in weight at 196 lbs

93.5 & 107.5 The Fan host JMV was joined by Former College RB and CBS Sports Analyst Emory Hunt to talk about the depth at WR for this NFL and if it compares to the past couple draft classes that included Ja’Marr Chase, Devonta Smith, Justin Jefferson and other highly productive receivers:
“I think this is one of the deeper receiver classes you’ll find. I think this trend will continue because of the nature the college game with the depth of receivers and defensive backs that we continue to see every year.”
The Colts had hoped Parris Campbell would be that explosive WR opposite of Pittman. Campbell ran a 4.31 40 yard dash at the combine but has been hampered by injuries in each of his 3 seasons. If speed is something Chris Ballard wants for the Colts at WR next season, this draft class certainly looks to foot the bill.
