WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — An 81-year-old man from West Lafayette is accused of sexually assaulting a 17-year-old girl.
Police were called Saturday afternoon to a home at 804 N 400 W to investigate a reported sexual assault, according to the Tippecanoe County Sheriff’s Office.
Donald Crider allegedly touched the girl inappropriately and later barricaded himself inside his home after he learned that police had been called.
Crider was arrested after he walked out of the home just before 8:30 p.m. Saturday following a standoff with police.
Crider is in the Tippecanoe County Jail on charges of sexual battery and criminal confinement.
