Teen Arrested After Three Shot on Monument Circle, Police Say

INDIANAPOLIS — A 16-year-old boy has been arrested after three people were shot early Monday morning on Monument Circle, according to Indianapolis police.

IMPD officers working crowd control near Gainbridge Fieldhouse said they heard several gunshots around 1:45 a.m. When they arrived at the scene, they found two men and a woman with gunshot wounds.

All three were taken to the hospital and are expected to survive.

Police said several people were initially detained at the scene, and multiple witnesses stayed to assist with the investigation. On Monday afternoon, IMPD confirmed that a 16-year-old boy was arrested in connection to the shooting.

Monument Circle remains closed as crews clean up and investigators collect evidence.
