4th Indianapolis Councilor asks for Joe Hogsett’s resignation. Better late than never Crista Carlino joins the chorus for the Mayor to step down.
You have City County Councilor Crista Carlino calling for the resignation of Joe Hogsett and once Ali Brown is vice president of the council and Vop Osili is president of the council, removed from their positions, I would assume because of what happened with this investigation into Joe Hogsett and whether or not the investigation was thorough, whether or not some things were covered up about these women who claimed that even Joe Hogsett was engaged in inappropriate texting like Thomas Carl Cook, his former chief of staff, former deputy mayor who was not only involved in inappropriate texting but inappropriate relations with a female staffers people who were under him, who were his subordinates? Ali Brown, so she is a counselor. Carlino is the 4th member of the city County Council to do this. You have two Democrats, one Republican, one Communist. His own admission. I don’t ask me to have any respect for Jesse Brown. There’s none to be had. He’s entitled to an opinion. I’m entitled to discuss how gross that opinion is for an elected official in Indianapolis. It’s shameful. And of course he should resign as I see it, supporting Hamas. Never mind democratic socialist, communist, just be honest. That’s all I ever asked. Ali Brown is not happy put out and put out a statement about Counselor Christa Carlino saying
“Councilor Crista Carlino knows full well that I had no involvement in defining the scope of the investigative committee. She is also fully aware of why I did not participate in the committee she chaired or in shaping the contract for the investigation. I confided in my caucus colleagues that this situation triggered severe trauma, including flashbacks to the night I was assaulted at 18 years old, in a freezing back alley. I spent years in therapy, including intensive EMDR treatment, just to survive what happened to me. Now, Crista is weaponizing that trauma for her own political gain. It’s disgraceful.”
Councilor Brown, I wouldn’t wish anything happening to you or anybody else, but I don’t think this is an unacceptable statement from you. I think this is actually offensive from you making the argument that she’s doing this for her political gain and weaponizing your trauma. Sorry, that is an obscenity. We’re going to stick to the subject at hand here. And if you want to say that you had no involvement, that’s fine. If you want to say that she’s weaponizing, that is your emotion. Because I don’t think you have the facts. But if you have them, I’ll look at them. It’s an ugly statement, really ugly statement. to make right there
