Indy Man Sentenced to 105 Years For Shooting, Killing Ex’s Boyfriend

INDIANAPOLIS — An Indianapolis man has been sentenced to more than a century in prison on murder and attempted murder charges.
Tony Miller Jr. is responsible for a shooting on the far eastside of Indianapolis in November 2022 that killed 30-year-old William Wilson. This week, Miller was sentenced to 105 years in prison for that shooting.
Wilson was killed after being shot in the head while in his vehicle with Miller’s then girlfriend. The two were waiting to pick up her and Miller’s daughter. She was shot in the arm.
The Marion County Prosecutor’s Office said Miller was arrested after a license plate reader caught his truck near the scene of the shooting.
Following a two-day trial that found Miller guilty, he pled guilty to a habitual offender and felony firearm enhancement, adding another 15 years to his sentencing to bring it to 105 years.
