ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. — A baby that had been taken, police believe, by the non-custodial father, has been returned and the father arrested.
The abduction of the six-month-old was first reported Saturday morning to the Plymouth Police Dept.
Shortly after 3 a.m. a state trooper spotted the car that police were looking for on U.S. 20 and pulled it over. In the back of the car was a man with a baby.
The trooper, with backup, arrested Shaquile Booker, 30, who faces several charges in the abduction, but was also wanted on a back warrant from Allen County.
Booker was taken to the Marshall County Jail.
