He was taken into custody at around 4:30 pm and was still chanting statements about Haiti as he was hauled away by police in handcuffs. The man has been charged with criminal recklessness and pointing a firearm.

An eyewitness at the scene had an encounter with the man.

“He gets out on the car and starts waving a ‘Free Haiti’ flag. I was walking up to him and telling him this isn’t the way to be. He points the gun at me and clicks it three times. I don’t know if I’m just blessed or if he was out of ammunition. I hope it was a little bit of both,” said the man who identified himself as Christopher.

Christopher said he recently started a nonprofit organization where he helps the homeless.

“I’m a prophet for the Father. I can tell you that right now,” said Christopher.
