Water Main Break on Near Northeast Side of Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS –Crews from Citizens Energy are on the scene of a water main break Thursday morning on the near northeast side of Indianapolis.

The break occurred near 22nd Street and Dr. Andrew J. Brown Avenue, affecting customers on the east side of the city.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officials confirmed that Dr. Andrew J. Brown Avenue is closed between 22nd and 23rd Streets due to significant flooding. The closure is expected to last several hours.

IMPD traffic units are on-site diverting traffic.
