SCOTTSBURG, Ind. — A manufacturing company based in North Carolina is planning to upgrade and expand its operations in Scottsburg over the next few years.

Genpak is known for mass-producing food containers and packaging, in order to “help enhance food service operations in an ever-evolving market.” Learn more here.

The company is apparently planning to produce polystyrene at a new facility – and create more than 40 jobs – by 2028. It also plans to upgrade its current facility on South Elm Street.

Inside INdiana Business reports that these projects will cost about $7 million. Scottsburg Mayor Terry Amick says, “We look forward to supporting their continued growth and success.”
