ISP Investigating Fatal Brookville Shooting

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ind. — State Police are investigating after a Brookville man was shot and killed early Thursday morning in Franklin County.

Brookville Police and Franklin County officers apparently found the man – identified as 32-year-old Ronald Pence – inside an apartment on Fairfield Avenue. Unfortunately, he died at the scene.

Police now believe he had been shot in the chest by his sister, 29-year-old Crystal Pence, who was there when they arrived.

She was soon arrested and taken to the Franklin County Jail, where she is facing a murder charge. It is not yet clear why she might have killed her brother.
