Full Statement by FOP President Rick Snyder:

This contract was passed with 97% approval from a record turnout of officers and sets the stage for the largest contract in the history of the IMPD.

We want to thank Mayor Joe Hogsett for his commitment to retaining IMPD Officers, while competing with other agencies for new recruits, plus ensuring the IMPD is positioned for future generations of officers and their families.

I also want to thank the officers of the IMPD for their commitment and steadfast service to the residents and visitors of Indianapolis.  Their professionalism is recognized across America and this labor agreement is a testament to their tenacity and their care for our community.
