INDIANAPOLIS  — Fans of Taylor Swift, known as Swifties, flocked to Lucas Oil Stadium on Friday night for the much-anticipated kickoff of her Eras Tour. Swifties traveled from across the country, some from as far away as California and New York, all eager to see their favorite artist perform live.

“I’ve been a fan since the start, and I wouldn’t miss this for anything,” said Sarah Johnson, who made the trip from Seattle. “This is a once-in-a-lifetime moment, and sharing it with other fans makes it even more special.”

The stadium was excited as fans sported a mix of merchandise that highlighted their favorite album eras. From the classic “Fearless” to the latest “Midnights,” the variety of Swift’s music was everywhere.

“I drove from Miami just to be here tonight,” said Mark Thompson. “The energy is amazing. Everyone is so welcoming, and it feels like one big party celebrating Taylor’s music.”

Local businesses also benefited from the event, with restaurants and hotels nearby packed with fans. “We’ve seen a big jump in reservations since the tour was announced,” a business owner said. “It’s wonderful to see so many Swifties come together and enjoy themselves.
