NWS: Windy Wednesday, Rainy Thursday Across Indiana

STATEWIDE–Rain on Thursday will follow up temperatures that will be near record highs today across Indiana.
“We should start to cool down on Thursday as the front moves through,” said Greg Melo, meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Indianapolis.
That front Melo is referring to is supposed to bring rain that could have some embedded thunderstorms and windy conditions.
“It will be windy today, but tomorrow morning looks like there will be a brief period of stronger wind gusts that could reach 45 mph or even slightly higher than that with the storms that will be moving in,” said Melo.
Melo says all signs are pointing to any rain or storms being done by 6 pm, which is when most cities and towns in the state begin trick-or-treating for Halloween.
“Now there could still be some showers around across the south and southeast portion of Indiana, but most of the state should clear out by sunset,” said Melo.
Rain is also possible throughout Indiana again this weekend.
