As Election Day approaches in just two short weeks, the Harris/Walz campaign is grasping at straws for any support. Exhibit A: Liz Cheney has joined Kamala Harris on the campaign trail…

VP running mate and current Minnesota Governor Tim Walz is defending the Cheney family’s support. Jon Stewart of the Daily Show asked the governor straight-up why on earth would they not only welcome Liz Cheney, but her father Dick Cheney’s endorsement.

“The Cheney thing, do we really have to do that?”

Walz tries to pivot stating they welcome all supporters. “It goes broader than that. Look, Bernie Sanders, Dick Cheney, Taylor Swift,”

That’s right, old Timmy brought in Taylor Swift. Before the swifties even had a chance to pounce, Stewart halted the conversation to point out the absurdity of his statement.

“No, you can’t [compare] ‘Dick Cheney or Taylor Swift… What country did Taylor Swift get us to invade?”

Walz went on to say that the Harris/Walz team would not adopt the former GOP vice president Dick Cheney’s foreign policy.

“It doesn’t mean they agree with us. We’re not going to take their foreign policy decisions and discussions, you know, and implement those.”

Good save, guy…

Hammer and Nigel do see a silver lining in this Cheney love fest, it can only hurt their campaign.

“I think Dick Cheney is universally hated between Democrats and Republicans.” – Nigel

Hammer jokingly adds, “He’s the one thing that can bring everyone together!”
