INDIANAPOLIS – A significant pay raise could be on the horizon for Mayor Joe Hogsett and other city-county leaders.
A proposal headed to the City-County Council next week suggests bumping the mayor’s salary from $95,000 to $125,000 – the first increase for the position in over two decades.
Several other key Marion County officials, including the assessor, auditor, coroner, recorder, surveyor, and treasurer, are also in line for raises, potentially bringing their pay up to $92,000.
The council’s administration and finance committee is set to take up the proposal on Tuesday.
