Elon Musk has accepted a challenge to fight Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro after taking jabs at Maduro on X.
Musk has publicly taunted Maduro, who was recently declared the winner of Venezuela’s presidential election. Thousands of Venezuelans have protested the result of the election, and Musk accused Maduro of election fraud.

Maduro fired back at Musk, saying in Spanish that he went “off the rails.” He went on to challenge the billionaire to a fight.
“I am not afraid of you,” he said in Spanish. “Let’s go at it. Wherever you want. As we say in Caracas in the neighborhoods, if you want it, I want it, Elon Musk.”
“Social media creates a virtual reality, and who controls the virtual reality? Our new archenemy, the famous Elon Musk,” Maduro said in Spanish during a televised speech Tuesday, according to local reports. “Do you want to fight? Let’s do it. Elon Musk, I’m ready.”
Musk said “I accept” in a post Wednesday and seems confident that this would be a “real fight” and that he wouldn’t get destroyed by the Venezuelan dictator.
“Maduro is a big guy himself and probably knows how to fight, so this would be a real fight. Zuck is a little fella, so that would be a short fight lol,” Musk responded, referring to a once scheduled fight between him and Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg.
“If I win, he resigns as dictator of Venezuela,” Musk said. “If he wins, I give him a free ride to Mars.” Musk claimed in a subsequent post that Maduro would chicken out.
