INDIANAPOLIS — The Indianapolis Public Library is currently hosting its Summer Reading Program, and you and your family members are encouraged to participate!

This year, the library set a goal for readers to log 18 million minutes with books by July 31st. So far, more than 13.1 million minutes have been recorded, meaning the community is on pace to meet the goal.

According to the IPL, nearly 20,000 kids and 3,000 adults were logging hours as of July 1st.

Young readers can collect rewards including toys, local museum passes, and pizza, while adults can earn items like collapsible water bottles and stickers through the Adult Summer Reading program.

And, if the goal of 18 million minutes is met, participants will be entered into drawings for grand prizes such as Nintendo Switch consoles, Amazon Gift cards, and more.
