Biden’s Restaurant Fund Discriminates Against White Male Business Owner, says Texas Federal Judge
A federal judge in Texas issued a preliminary ruling that found the Biden administration’s restaurant relief fund had in fact discriminated against a white male restaurant owner.
Restaurant owner Philip Greer, sued the Small Business Administration for violating the Constitution’s Equal Protection Clause. Greer applied for the Restaurant Revitalization Fund after his business lost nearly $100,000 during the pandemic. The program however, gives priority to women, veterans, and “socially and economically disadvantaged” through May 3rd-24th.
US District Judge Reed O’Connor, found the man had been “experiencing race and sex discrimination at the hand of government officials.”
Tony Katz says the program should be a first come first serve basis, not based on the owner.
It’s a business. You don’t who this person hires, you don’t know what this person is all about. They go to the back of the line because of the color of their skin? Are we nuts?! First come, first serve.
The judge’s 18 page ruling has ordered the Small Business Administration relief program to stop prioritizing certain applications.
