William Shatner has an all-new hit album coming your way, music aficionados!

It’s been 52 years since Shatner’s first album, the groundbreaking “The Transformed Man,” first assaulted eardrums from coast-to-coast with hits like “Rocket Man” and “Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds.” The concept of that album was to juxtapose famous pieces of poetry with pop music… Awkwardly.

Captain Kirk’s new outing as a terrible singer features the star’s distinctive “speak the words instead of singing and then sing a few words, but really badly” style set to blues music!

Shatner even managed to nab a number of legitimate musicians for the album – good ones! Country superstar Brad Paisley, The Doobie Brothers and Steely Dan’s Jeff “Skunk” Baxter, rocker Tyler Bryant and blues legends Steve Cropper and Albert Lee all appear on record.

Check out “The Thrill is Gone” in the clip below. Dog owners are urged to be selective in choosing whether or not to expose your pets to Shatner going for a high C.
