Hoosiers Are Searching for Hair Loss Answers

STATEWIDE — A lot of Hoosiers are turning to Google for help with hair loss. People across Indiana searched for hair loss topics more than 88,000 times over the past year.
The most common thing people in Indiana were looking up? Just plain “hair loss treatment.” That search alone popped up nearly 12,000 times. After that, people were curious about “hair growth serum” and “the best vitamins for hair growth.”
Other common searches included postpartum hair loss, shampoo options, and whether creatine might be part of the problem. Even treatments like finasteride made the list.
A new study from the Anderson Center for Hair found that Indiana ranks among the lower states when it comes to hair loss concern, at least based on search volume. Hoosiers made about 1,285 searches per 100,000 people, which is below the national average.
And while Indiana didn’t top the charts, the study shows hair loss is something people across the country are thinking about. States like New York, Massachusetts, and California searched way more often than Indiana.
The takeaway? If you’re noticing changes in your hair, you’re not alone—and plenty of people are already looking for answers.
